Support is generally available for R&D projects relating to scientific innovations in all disciplines. Project proposals are submitted using the bottom-up principle and are mainly selected on the basis of their innovativeness and market potential.
CTI's Venturelab programme offers made-to-measure training modules for up-and-coming entrepreneurs. These training modules provide the knowledge, skills and methodology needed to establish a new company and successfully transform their promising business ideas into marketable products and services. Young entrepreneurs can also benefit from professional coaching. New knowledge-intensive and technology-based companies with considerable market potential are eligible.
The CTI supports the transfer of knowledge and technology between higher education institutions and industry in a targeted and results-oriented manner. Professionally-run R&D and KTT networks offer SMEs services in terms of channeling technology know-how through higher education institutions and by providing solutions for business-specific needs.

We prefer to have our initial investment at the early stage to build the company and follow with additional investment in pace with the company’s progress. We continue our approach of larger focused investments and anticipate total investments up to USD 15 – 20 mio per company over its life, but it can be as little as 100'000 USD to get started. We will increase our activities to lead or co-lead deals further and remain open to participate in larger syndicates.
